Good Moring Arlington! Good Bye Arlington....

Well, its official, I hop on a plane at 12 noon and head to NYC. I'm in my last few hours in town before I embark on my next big adventure. Its kind of exciting, its kind of terrifying, and I'm trying to down play it to just being work so that I don't get to crazy about it. All in all, it should be quite an adventure, with many ups and downs, the good times and the bad, and when it all comes down to it, I will be a better person because of it. Hope to see you or hear from you some time soon.....

Vacation and beyond

Today I leave for my mini-vacation before I head out on the tour. Its going to be nice, its been a very long time since I got away from Arlington and DC and wasn't working. I'm just going to hang out and read, maybe wander around on some of the hiking trails near by. A couple of people have said they may come out to join me for a day or two here and there, which will be nice, i always enjoy company.

Then I'll be back in town for a couple of days and then whoosh Im gone on another whirlwind adventure. I can't say I'm not a little bit frightened, but it is a whole new thing for me to actually be out for an undefined length of time. Frankly, I think being a little bit scared is a normal feeling, and if I wasn't scared I would be setting my self up to fall, and hard. The other thing is I feel like I didn't have to fight for it at all, it just fell into place, which feels kind of weird to me. I feel like I don't deserve it because I didn't work hard enough to get it, but it is kind of the culmination of the last 9ish years of working in the field I love, and over all its going to be a great experience. I've got a few plans for while I'm out. Plus I have also been thinking about doing one of those online college degree courses while I'm out to try to get that ever so important little piece of paper. Which, coupled with the tour on my resume, would look very good for the next time I go and try to get a job.

Well, these are all possibilities, and I have a great big expanse of time coming up to pursue all the options. Hopefully things turn out well.
